Going Greener

As part of the English writing course, students are asked to practice a conversation based upon their written work. Students then use portable cassette recorders to record their conversations, which are later transcribed in class.
Until now, we have been using normal AA batteries to power these recorders, but recently the English teaching staff decided to try rechargeable batteries in a limited number of recorders in an attempt to cut down on the amount of batteries that were being thrown away.
If these rechargeable batteries prove to be long lasting during this trial, we will provide enough batteries and chargers to power the 50 recorders that are in use at the moment, making DOHO just a little greener.
